Diesel Gym's Muay Thai Team (formerly, London Sitnarong) was orginally started back in 2003 by kru Cliff Bura and under the guidance of Grandmaster Sken Kaewpadung.
Grandmaster Sken Kaewpadung’s arrival in the UK in 1977 marked the arrival of the art in this country and the Diesel Gym (as London SItnarong) became a direct affiliate of his legendary Sitnarong camp in Stockport.
One of the fastest growing fighting styles in the UK, Muay Thai is two thousand years of combat history distilled into the ‘science of eight limbs’, in which the fighter employs fists, shins, knees and elbows, plus a form of stand-up grappling known as clinch work. Its power and simplicity mean it’s widely regarded as the world’s most effective martial art and it has exploded globally in recent years, winning fans both as a breath-taking ring sport and a vital component of mixed martial arts. In the process it’s made superstars of two-times K1 World Max champion Buakaw Por Pramuk and ‘Ong-Bak’ actor Tony Jaa, as well as countless big MMA names.

Kru Cliff is the Founder/Owner of the Diesel Gym. He has been involved in martial arts for 30 years, and has studied a wide selection of disciplines from around the world. His study of muay Thai has taken him to many camps in many countries, however his key influence is the world-renowned Master Sken Kaewpundang.
It is with Master Sken's blessing and guidance that the London Sitnarong Camp (which later became the Diesel Gym Muay Thai team) was first opened in 2003. Kru Cliff continues to train with Grandmaster Sken, and continually strives to pass on his great instructor's teachings and philosophy.
Kru Cliff is always happy to teach muay Thai to anyone who shows respect for the art and the camp. He trains students at all levels, from people who are interested in general fitness to those to wish to train at a competitive level.
