Claire wins WORLD TITLE in Thailand by TKO!
Claire Haigh successfully stopped her opponent with a 4th round TKO during the prestigious Queen's Cup tournament in Bangkok yesterday to gain the WPMF Ladies World Title at 63.5kg (Super Lightweight).
The World Professional Muaythai Federation (WPMF) was formed in 2002 by the Professional Boxing Association of Thailand (PAT). PAT is the only officially recognised association of Professional Muaythai by the Government of Thailand and has also become a member of the WPMF - making Claire's World Title a very significant one.
Following several hard fights in the UK, Claire travelled to Thailand and has really applied herself to her training (as well as enjoying the sun, sand and whatever else). She has been unbeaten in Thailand, has won all 3 stadium titles in Phuket and thus earned this title shot which she took with both hands.
All of Diesel gym are very proud.
Also a big congratulations to the Tiger Muay Thai team in Thailand who Claire has been training with while over there.
